Sergio Splendore is an Associate Professor at the Department of Social and Political Sciences of the University of Milan. His research centers on journalism studies and political communication. He has authored or co-authored papers in these areas for Journalism, Journalism Studies, Digital Journalism, Journalism Practice, Euroepan journal of Communication, New Media & Society among others. He is part of the Worlds of Journalism Study (WJS) and the Network of European Political Communication Scholars (NEPOCS). He is involved in two research programs funded by the H2020 framework as Pharm (Preventing Hate Against Refugees and Migrants), MEDIADELCOM (Critical Exploration of Media Related Risks and Opportunities for Deliberative Communication: Development Scenarios of the European Media Landscape). He has been granted by Facebook for the project STOP! (Selective Trust Originates Polarization).
